The Aftermath

This is the aftermath.  We are still alive, and that is the good thing, the bad thing is that the four of us are living in a one room bunkhouse trying to not step over each other.   The insurance has been great to work with so far, we are waiting on paperwork still.  The insurance check will only be about 1/2 of what we will need to replace the house because of the age of the house.  So currently we are trying to create some more living space by making the garage into a living area as inexpensively as possible.  We are a wreck right now but we will make it through this.

Burnt woodstove…nope this wasn’t what caused the fire…it was electrical

Thank you to all who have supported us through this mess we are in.  There are still funds set up at Western Dakota Bank in Timber Lake, SD and at the Go Fund Me Site that was set up by Lacey Cooper for us.

Hi everyone, We have had another adventure to say the least.  It has been scary and hectic and overwhelming and we have been so blessed by everyone with prayers and donations going.  Here are some pictures.

The house is a total loss and we are trying to figure out the best way to move forward.  We will be living in the bunkhouse (one room 4 of us – sounds fun right? it will be a learning experience).  This will probably be my last post until we get internet back at the ranch.  The kids and myself are at my parents in Bismarck, ND and The Rancher is at the ranch working on getting things set up for us to come back and live there.  No washer/dryer…but he did get a fridge, stove and microwave there so we are ok.  Its going to alright.  We have some great support on Facebook going on right now so check that page out for updates.

There is also a GoFundMe site started for monetary donations to help us try and rebuild.

The house was an old, old mobile home that we moved into, and the insurance money will only be a portion of what it will cost to replace that three bedroom home.   Any help is greatly appreciated as in two days we will be without internet again and I won’t be able to do any updates or sharing of this information.  We are depending on our family and friends to gather prayers and well wishes in this great challenge we are facing.
